A University of Birmingham student broke a swimming record at a national swimming meet in Manchester last month.

Ivy League athletics returned to the University of Birmingham earlier this month as the cream of track and field talent from Penn and Cornell Universities in the U.S.A. and a team from the Irish high performance centre took on University Sport Birmingham’s athletes.

On Thursday 15th June 5 members of The University Sport Birmingham department donned their running shoes to join the 2500 women running in Cannon Hill Park for the Cancer Research Race for Life.

For the first time since 1973 the University of Birmingham will be hosting an International Volleyball meet during a weekend-long event dedicated to the sport.

Talented sporting students were honoured at a glittering awards ceremony at the University of Birmingham on June 7th.
