University Sport Birmingham hosted the Paul Weston Memorial Children’s Triathlon on Sunday 27th July as part of the West Midlands Youth Series, a regional competition used to select youths for the GB performance squad.
Budding young triathletes will gather later this month when the fifth annual Paul Western Memorial Children’s Triathlon takes place on The University of Birmingham campus.

Current World Ironman Champion and University of Birmingham alumna Chrissie Wellington, became the European Ironman Champion last weekend, missing out on the world record by 31 seconds.
Chris Smith smashed his 800m personal best to achieve the stiff UK Athletics qualifying time for the World Junior Championships. Later in the month he finished 3rd at the AAA U20 Championships/World Trials and gained selection for the GB & NI team to compete in Poland.
