The University of Birmingham Polo Club is a sociable and successful club and we encourage anyone studying at the university, whether a seasoned pro or a complete non-rider to get involved and relish in this phenomenal sport.
The club was founded in 2008 and from its humble beginnings it has grown into one of the largest and most competitive university clubs in the country. Indeed what was once a small club with no more than 10 playing members has rapidly expanded with membership totalling upwards of 50, with the majority of those playing regularly.
U.B.P.C plays at Rugby Polo Club, just a 40 minute drive from the university, and receives expert tuition from 3 goaler Phillip Baker. The club competes in three national tournaments a year, whilst organising friendlies and charity polo events.
