Term-time swim school

Our term-time swim schools held on a Friday evening and Saturday morning are based upon a framework called the National Plan for Teaching Swimming (NPTS) produced by the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA), the National Governing Body for Swimming.  This is a national syllabus for delivering aquatics and provides stages for your child to progress and become competent, confident and safe in the water. 

The school will operate in 10 week blocks during University term time and an additional fun Splash Day at the end of term. Classes will form a progressive course towards achieving ASA swim awards and participants will be automatically enrolled on to next level however please be aware that we cannot always guarantee the same time slot.  Priority enrolment is given to existing swimmers prior to the start of each swim school.  Classes are for children aged between 3-16 years old.

Friday Swim School

The school is held on Friday evenings with a choice of two 40 minute sessions.  It currently uses the new version of the NPTS plan and therefore operate from Levels 1-7 with Level 6 and 7 being more advanced than the plan previously used.  The cost for the Friday Swim School offered at a discounted rate as swimmers are taught by trainee teachers supervised by highly qualified ASA Level 2 teachers.  Cost for a 10 week course, including Splash Day and certificates is £30.

Saturday Swim School

The school is held on a Saturday morning with a choice of four 35 minute sessions.  It currently uses the existing version of the NPTS plan and will therefore operate from Levels 1-12 under the expert supervision of qualified ASA Level 2 teachers.  Cost for a 10 week course, including Splash Day and certificates is £39.
