During the autumn and spring semesters the club uses the international standard facilities of the Indoor School at Edgbaston County Cricket Ground, approximately 1 mile from the university. The 1st team squad and the 2nd/3rd team squad train Wednesdays 15.30-17.30, the 4th team squad train from 14.30-15.30. The Munrow Sports Centre on campus and the Old Gym are also used for fitness and indoor ball games.
During the season the club is based at Moseley Cricket Club in Solihull (opens in new window). Many of the existing members of the club have passed a university minibus driving test allowing us to travel to and from home and away games.
-
The BUCS season usually takes place from mid-April to the start of May and so fixtures tend not to clash with summer exams.
-
A match against the MCC is the traditional season finale.
-
The club provided net bowlers for England v West Indies ODI at Edgbaston in 2009.
-
Members from the club have opportunities to work at Test and ODI matches throughout the summer.
