Applications are invited for grants from the Ron Pickering Memorial Fund from young track and field athletes who are in education and may need financial help towards training or provision of equipment.
Applicants must be aged between 15 and 23 years, medallists from their National Schools AA, AAA U17, & U20 or U23 Championships or in the top six of the appropriate UK ranking lists. The grant application process starts each year on October 1st, with completed forms to be returned by November 30th.

The Bellamy Bursaries (Golf)
In 2005 the ELGA Trust was left a legacy of �39,000 by Mrs Lena Marie Lauga Bellamy who was born in 1909. This money is used to fund golf bursaries.
The bursaries are provided for students with formal offer places on courses in related subjects. The award year will be from 1 October to 30 September and applications must be received in the ELGA office by the 1 September.
Applications for a Bursary are open to all English female golfers who fulfil the above criteria, irrespective of age or ethnicity. In general, a Bursary may be used for educational purposes, including tuition fees, books, room and board. Annually each bursar must show that their enthusiasm and commitment to their golf have been satisfactory before the next year's funds are released.

The Angela Uzielli Bursaries (Golf)
Hugh and Catherine Stevenson, friends of the Uzielli family, have very kindly provided the founding capital for Bursaries to be known as �the Angela Uzielli Bursaries�.
The Bursaries will be awarded to promising girl golfers who wish to further their education at University or College, within the British Isles, after school academic year 12, and at the same time continue to develop their golfing skills. They should be of English nationality by birth or have either parent of English nationality, or have been resident in England for the last two years.
The Bursaries (of up to �1250 - �1500 each per annum) are to provide financial assistance for educational expenses of girls in further education. The awards will be administered through the ELGA Trust. The Bursaries will be awarded to students who have a financial need and will continue for the duration of their academic course. However, they will be reviewed annually and the students will need to show that their enthusiasm and commitment to their golf have been satisfactory before the next year's funds are released.
County Junior Organisers can obtain application forms from the ELGA Office from July each year and they should be sent to any promising girl who is starting University or College and has a place for September that year. Applications should be submitted to ELGA by 1 September in the year of entry.

SportsAid (Various in Yorkshire & Humberside)
SportsAid is the charity for sports people, helping the next generation of young British sportsmen and women to succeed. Applicants must be identified and nominated by their National Governing Bodies of Sport based on their talent and sporting results. Nominees should be a member of the GB/England team or squad member and live in Yorkshire & Humberside. Age range is generally between 12 and 18 years old although flexibility will be exercised where appropriate. Athletes with disabilities can be aged up to 35. Athletes should not be in receipt of any other funding such as TASS Award or Lottery.

FANS (Free Access for National Sportspeople) Scheme (Various)
The FANS scheme provides sports people of a national level with free access to sports facilities in their local area. FANS aims to assist elite sports people to achieve their full potential by reducing the financial burden of training costs. Most local authorities run this scheme.
Generally to be eligible you must be a current national sports person from any UK Sport recognised sport (at any age group) and be a resident for the majority of the year in that local authority area, those these criteria vary from location to location
